A few convictions shape every decision in the system. They are the reason the architecture is the way it is.
Non-custodial, always
Funds move direct buyer to seller. The platform never holds the payment, never holds keys, and never stands between parties. That makes U.CASH Portal a tool, not a money transmitter: there is no custodial account to lose, freeze, or be robbed of.
Open protocol, no lock-in
The payment flow follows the 402 Online Protocol, the familiar HTTP 402 "payment required" turned into a real pay-to-access mechanism. No proprietary format, no captive network. The protocol is documented and open.
Your keys, your coins
You connect the wallets and nodes you already own. We read the chain to detect payments to your addresses; we do not generate, store, or control your private keys. Self-custody is the default, not an option.
Transparent pricing
Fees are volume-tiered and published plainly. The fee is a small percentage debited from a prepaid credit balance, separate from the payment, never taken out of the transaction, never held. See Pricing.
Agent-first
